RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

Thanks guys for all the great information. I do believe based on our research we will be looking for an Attitude F33AKG and I already have the free hat from the RV show to go with it.
Now I begin the search to find one and at a great price. Hoping to locate an 2008 thats been on someone lot for awhile or an 2009 since the 2010 models are ready to be ship.
Thanks again

RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

What do you need to haul in it? JT puts his Rex in his and has some room left. 33 or 34ft
The Rhino, 2 dirt bikes and maybe one of the raptors for long trips

Lisa what do you guys have to haul in it now?
Oh you meant what new toys, NO new toys. Just decided that we need the space and now might be a good time with units sitting on dealer lots. And we can't borrow VIks flat bed forever and the extra gas is going to add up so put the extra money towards a new trailer.

RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

L,
Carie and I have the 09 Attitude 33 fiver. adn I LOVE IT
My truck is a 97 F-250 and I pull it fine. WOULD not go any bigger though.
Hey,
What did you guys have before the 5ver? GLM really like the 37ft and the deal was GREAT since it's been on the lot for 10mos but the truck won't handle it. NO go on a new truck only considering the change cause the payment won't change much monthly. Been looking at the 30ft and 33ft online today. I like the 33ft cause of the closet in the bedroom, the 30th doesn't it have from I can tell in the pictures.
What type of hitch do you have?

RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

I bought an 09 33AKSG (Fver). I have had a pull trailer and now am on my 2nd Fver. I would never go back to a pull trailer.
may I ask what truck you are pulling with.

RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

Just bought an Attitude from Barber RV a couple of weeks ago. They are easy to deal with seem to be on the ball. As far as Ecilpse goes, I looked at all kinds of THs, including the Sandstorm and couldn't find a better one for the money. Were you looking at the Sandstorms at Crown RV? I was there and they all seemed to be thrashed - nicks in the cabinets, TVs/Stereos yanked out, cabinet doors broken, windows broken and electrical wires poking out where a socket should have been. I saw that and never thought twice about a Sandstorm or Crown RV. Not sure which was at fault but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
No, we 1st saw the Sandstorm at the RV show this weekend, but I think the DH is set on 5ver since he's sending me links to hitches.
We stop at Crown but the salemans made a comment to my husband that he did like so we left but I did notice the most of the units there in bad shape.
Which Attitude did you get? pull or 5ver?

RE: Attitude VS Sandstorm

I have the Attitude that you're looking at. Picked it up on 1 Aug, did 10 days in it immediately. Had a 1 page list of little things to get fixed, the dealer had it taken care of in 1 week with no issues. Spent the last two weekends in it (1, 4 day trip, 1, 3 day trip). We love it, layout, look, usage, everything about it. We did get the Armour edition. I require 22 feet of load space, the 37 has that from the refrigerator to the ramp.
Loaded, you'll be over the limits on your truck. I grossed 27,740 with 7340 lbs on the rear axle this last week, fully loaded with a 3K rock buggy, 800 lb quad, full water, fuel, propane, food, and camping stuff.
Yeah, we know that the truck can't handle it so the 37ft is out of the question, but they have a 30ft and a 33ft. so the search goes on.
still not sure if the 5ver is the way to go

Attitude VS Sandstorm

We are in the market to upgrade our current toy hauler, I really like the Sandstorm by Forest River FSW2900 which is a pull trailer and the DH really wants to move up too a 5ver. He really liked the Attitude by Eclipse F37AKS with 18'10" of cargo space but it's just a little too big to store at the house.
In researching the two brands I found the Eclipse has a 'F' BBB rating and Forest River has a 'No Rating' with a long list of complaints, but the dealer in which we were looking at Barber RV has a 'AA' BBB rating. What’s more important the dealer rating or the manufactures rating?
Also any real life input on these two toy haulers would be appreciated.
Thanks

RE: How to lose 100 gallons of water!

came home from work the other day and saw a trail of water coming down the driveway. "darn kids didn't turn the water spigot off all the way again" i thought to myself. upon further inspection the water was coming from the toyhauler. our dogs were playing under the rig, either after our poor cat, or a hapless lizard, and cracked open the water dump valve. went to the control panel and sure enough, it was empty. now i have a bungie cord around the valve to keep that from happening again. sure would be a bummer if the "big one" hits and we don't have any fresh water!
just one more thing to check on your toyhauler!
http://bestsmileys.com/lol/1.gifOur guys broke off the entire handle “playing” under the trailer.

RE: Where to camp in Cal City?

Never camped at Cal city. Have friends out in Dove Springs this weekend I hear the wind is brutal.
Another Bako. member so you must have a RZR what else? Kids? where do you usually ride?
Yes the wind was bad and very cold. Sorry you couldn't make it out this trip.
Dove springs is our favorvite place to camp but are always open to trying new places.
We have one 15yr old son who rides both a MC & ATV who loves having other kids to ride with. No fun riding with the parnets all the time.

I viewed it more as a bonding weekend for Gilbert & Matthew, without me constantly saying “Be careful” and “don’t do that you are going to get hurt”

Don't forget the high pitched screaming from the rhino you emit.
Very true, I forgot about that one
